Functional Health Counseling

This form of counseling emphasizes the interconnectedness of the body’s systems—such as digestion, hormone balance, detoxification, and immunity—and explores how diet, stress, sleep, movement, and environmental factors contribute to overall well-being. Functional health counselors work closely with clients to uncover underlying dysfunctions, often using advanced lab testing and detailed health histories to guide care.

The goal is to support the body’s natural healing processes and empower clients to make sustainable changes that lead to long-term health improvements. This collaborative, client-centered model encourages education, prevention, and self-awareness, ultimately helping people take control of their health and thrive.

New Patient Appointment

$250

The initial visit in functional health is an in-depth, comprehensive appointment designed to uncover the root causes of a patient's health concerns. Unlike conventional medical visits, this session typically lasts 60–90 minutes and includes a detailed exploration of the patient’s full health history, lifestyle habits, environment, nutrition, stress levels, and genetics.

During this visit, the practitioner listens closely to the patient’s story and may use a timeline or matrix to map out key life events and symptom patterns. A thorough review of current symptoms, past medical history, medications, supplements, and prior lab work is also conducted. Functional lab testing may be recommended to assess gut health, hormone levels, inflammation, nutritional deficiencies, or toxin exposure.

Follow Ups $125

A follow-up visit in functional health is focused on reviewing progress, evaluating test results, and refining the personalized care plan based on the patient’s response and current needs. These visits typically occur a few weeks after the initial consultation and are essential for maintaining momentum, accountability, and long-term success.

During the appointment, the practitioner checks in on how the patient has been feeling, what changes have been made, and what challenges may have come up. Any lab results or assessments ordered during the initial visit are discussed in detail, helping to uncover deeper insights into underlying health issues.

Adjustments are then made to the treatment plan—this might include modifying supplements, dietary strategies, stress management techniques, or sleep routines. The practitioner also provides continued education and support, empowering the patient to stay engaged in their healing journey.
